CEO & Partner
Previously, Co-founder of Hannam & Partners and formerly a Managing Director at JP Morgan until 2012. A capital markets investment banker with experience in London, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Rupert received his BSc from Bristol University.
Nilesh Patel
Partner
Prior to joining SW4 Partners, Nilesh was a Director at Hannam & Partners, focusing on Life Sciences & Mining. Nilesh previously worked at Cannacord Genuity & Citi in investment banking. He received his MA in Economics from the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School.

Richard Stone is a Sales Specialist at SW4 Partners, previously a founding Partner at Stone Welch Cunningham LLP. He has held senior leadership positions at Standard Chartered, CLSA, Korn Ferry, and Merrill Lynch, specialising in equity sales trading and investment banking across global markets.
Edmund Ponsonby
Analyst
Edmund joined SW4 Partners in July 2025, following previous internship experience across technology startups, investment banking, and private equity with Morrison Global. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Finance at the LSE and holds a First Class BSc in Economics from the University of Manchester.
Michael Whealon
Senior Adviser
Michael Whealon is a Strategic Advisor at SW4 Partners, focusing on US Distribution & Coverage. He is Managing Partner & Founder of Fox Point Partners LLP, a merchant banking boutique specialising in private capital markets. Michael has over 25 years of investment banking experience, including senior roles at Panmure Gordon, ING Barings, and Bear Stearns. He received his BA from Boston College.
